PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-magnification teleconverter capable of easily photographing a proper video of 10 or more magnifications, while using a regular photographic lens of a common camera. SOLUTION: The teleconverter includes a fixed barrel to be mounted on the front surface of the regular photographic lens of the camera; a movable barrel which is supported so that it is coaxial with the fixed barrel, and freely displaced in the axial direction; respective lenses of front and rear groups arranged at prescribed intervals between them in the movable barrel so as to form the magnified virtual image of the object at the shortest position in the photographic range by the photographic lens in the mounted state; and a prism arranged between the front and rear groups.
