PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a hermetic compressor efficient and reliable and have a structure favorable in cost. SOLUTION: The hermetic compressor includes a crank shaft 6 transmitting rotary force from a motor, a piston 8 provided with a spherical seat 8 including a spherical surface part on a crank shaft side, a connecting rod 9 including a spherical body part 11 connecting to the spherical seat 8a on one end, a ring part 12 fitting to the crank shaft 6 on another end and a rod part 10 connecting the ring part 12 and the spherical body part 11, and lubricating oil stored in a hermetic vessel, and is constructed to supply lubricating oil through the crank shaft 6. The hermetic compressor is provided with a first oil supply hole 19 on the crank shaft 6, and is provided with a second oil supply hole 18 supplying the spherical seat 8a with lubricating oil discharged from the first oil supply hole on the connecting rod 9, and is provided with an oil pocket 20 tentatively storing lubricating oil discharged from the second oil supply hole 18 between the spherical seat 8a and the spherical body part 11.
