PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traffic device which has high transfer efficiency of vehicles and is installed on a compact installation surface and enables the passage of the vehicles between an upper side road and a lower side road which are different in height. SOLUTION: The vehicle traffic system substitutes a conventional vehicle traffic system and is provided with an upper side guide road, a lower side guide road, a carrier capable of mounting the vehicles, a carrier lifting and lowering device for lifting and lowering the carrier between an upper carrier carry-in/out port provided at the side of the upper side guide road and a lower carrier carry-in/out port provided at the side of the lower side guide road, an upper carrier station arranged on the upper side guide road, a lower carrier station arranged on the lower side guide road, an upper carrier transfer device which transfers the carrier between the upper carrier station and the upper carrier carry-in/out port, and a lower carrier transfer device which transfers the carrier between the lower carrier station and the lower carrier carry-in/out port.
