PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete side ditch body which is stably set by simplifying and securing rolling pressing of a roadbed after installation and is installed in a narrow place by reducing occupation width for mounting and has sufficiently durable structure even when a joining part between a ditch lid and fitting stepped parts supporting the ditch lid and fitted to the side ditch body is a point contact structure, and also to provide a production method used for the same. SOLUTION: The concrete side ditch body is formed of concrete. An upper opened longitudinal through groove u is formed by vertically raising outernal walls 20 of both side parts 2 relative to a lower face 10 of a bottom part 1, and closed top plate parts 31 are formed on top faces of both ends in a longitudinal direction, so that a hollow rectangular shape in a side face view is formed. Inwardly expanded parts 22 with expanded thickness are formed at upper parts of the side parts 2 enabling the longitudinal through hole u to be formed between the closed top plate parts 31. The fitting stepped parts 23 on which the ditch lid G is installed are formed at upper parts of the expanded parts 22 and an upper opened part 32 between the closed top plate parts 31 is covered with the ditch lid G.
