The integrated and automated DNA or protein analysis system has an analyzer comprising a controller (105) for the execution of an analysis process in which a cartridge (101) is brought into the analyzer. A member is used for the preparation of a sample within the cartridge, to which liquid from a tank is led into reagents in the cartridge for dissolution and detection of components of the sample. Fluidic interfaces and electronics are arranged between the cartridge and the controller. The controller comprises a serial and/or a wireless interface as bluetooth system to transfer the signals. The controller has a pipe system with valves to bring water into the cartridge. A controlling member is used for controlling of the bringing of the cartridge into the analyzer, analysis processes, motion and thermal stabilization of the liquids brought into the cartridge. A signal processor and the controlling member are coordinated in the controller in such a way that the analysis process is carried out in a fully integrated manner and the signals are directly capable of being displayed. The system further comprises an evaluation server, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a cartridge uptake (103) for receiving, interlocking, unblocking and releasing the cartridge, sensors for recognition of a correct type of the cartridge, a water reservoir (113) arranged in the controller for diluting the sample, dissolving the reagents and execution of rinsing processes, a filter to ventilating the water reservoir in removal of water, a power pack (107), a pump (115), a pressure sensor in a pipe system, an interface as hollow needle for supply of water into the cartridge, capacitive sensors with electrodes placed on the cartridge for recognizing filling of channels, valves for locking and opening of ventilation ports of the cartridge, mobile tappets arranged on the cartridge for locking and opening of chambers, combined unit from magnet-bead-collector, thermal controlling device arranged in the controller for execution of thermal cycling and a pressure coefficient of resistance, an element for production of a contact pressure between a thermal controlling module and the cartridge, a thermal controlling unit for a chip module, control-, measuring,-and electronic control-mechanisms, a micro controller for data acquisition and display for representation of the results of analysis. The water reservoir is fluidically connected by puncture of a septum by cannula. The thermal controlling device comprises two thermal stabilization module arranged in a sandwich arrangement. An independent claim is included for procedure for operation of a controller in a system.
