A common voltage compensation circuit and method are provided to prevent a horizontal crosstalk due to the distortion of a common voltage by using first and second compensation circuits. A common voltage compensation circuit includes a coupling measurement unit(340) measuring a coupling signal generated in first and second common voltages according to the polarity inversion of a data signal, and first and second compensation circuits. Each of the compensation circuits has a power distributor, an inversion amplifying unit receiving a voltage distributed by the power distributor as a reference voltage, and a compensation unit receiving an output of the inversion amplifying unit as a reference voltage.
