FILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING TIME LINE BASED EXPRESSION OF DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unique system and method that facilitate management and navigation of various data objects by making use of a unique time line based navigation tool.

SOLUTION: The objects are partially organized within an appropriate band on the basis of a time parameter such as a time or date organizing the objects. A user navigates or browses the band and objects by the navigation tool according to the desired time parameter or a range of time. Zooming and other browsing options are available to the user so that the interesting objects are displayed at levels of various details. Thus, the objects can be expressed as optional ASCII thumbnails.
