PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rotation around a longitudinal axis of a spoke and to perform correct positioning of the spoke relative to a hub and/or a rim at an assembling stage of the spoke. SOLUTION: The spoke 10 for the wheel for the bicycle has a lengthy body 20 including a first end 30 mounted to the hub of the wheel of the bicycle, a second end mounted to the rim of the wheel of the bicycle and an intermediate part 50 having a flattened part 60 in a crossing direction z perpendicular to a longitudinal axis X-X as constitution elements and extending along the longitudinal axis X-X. In the spoke 10, at least one of the first and second ends of the lengthy body has a rotation surface. The rotation surface has at least one discontinuation part such as a projection 70 and a recession. The correct positioning of the spoke relative to the hub and/or the rim at the assembling stage of the spoke is ensured and such a correct position is maintained even if impact or vibration is received at traveling.
