PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filing case for cards or the like which ensures the ease of searching for the cards or the like and putting in and taking out them and moreover prevents a cover body from being caught by the cards or the like when it is closed. SOLUTION: The filing case 10 for the cards or the like is constituted by having a case main body 12 of which the position of the opening part 11 is set to be lower than the height of the cards or the like C to be held, partition members 14 which are disposed inside the case main body 12 and the cover body 15 which closes up the opening part 11. Position regulating parts 25 and 31 are formed in the front and the rear of the opening part 11 and of the partition members 14 and are so designed as to restrain protrusion of the upper end positions of the cards or the like outside the vertical planes along the inside of the lateral walls 21 of the case main body 12 on the occasion when the cards or the like are held in inclined postures.
