PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate suspension system capable of exchanging a conventional type hanging wall against smoke with a highly antiseismic system without the need of a special construction. SOLUTION: The plate suspension system comprises: (a) an upper side frame member provided with an opening extended in a longitudinal direction for housing a plate upper edge part on the lower side and provided with a pair of projected lines projected from both side walls inside the opening so as to face each other and extended in the longitudinal direction; (b) a three-way frame constituted of a front side frame, a rear side frame and a lower side frame for respectively holding the front edge, rear edge and lower edge of a plate; and (c) respective suspension means provided respectively on the front side frame and the rear side frame to be engaged with the pair of projected lines inside the opening of the upper side frame for suspending the three-way frame from the upper side frame member on the front side frame and the rear side frame.
