PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability such as durability against bending, in a planar heating element usable as a heat source of warming, heating, drying or the like. SOLUTION: A bent part 7 is formed in a part of the planar heating element 1, and electrodes 3 formed on an electrically insulating base material of the bent part 7 are formed wider than other parts. Thereby, the bent part 7 is defined, reliability such as durability against bending is improved, the planar heating element 1 can be compactly folded in storing it, and its usability is remarkably improved.
