PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency tuner for robustly controlling electric noise, by easily adjusting a frequency at a high speed so that a high frequency resonates, in a resonant cavity having a high Q value. SOLUTION: A phase difference between an incoming wave and a reflected wave of the high frequency to the resonant cavity is detected. A phase difference signal of three values for indicating any of an advance phase, coincidence and a delay phase is generated from its phase difference. The frequency of the high frequency is changed with every one interval by a large interval value in the direction for becoming small in the detected phase difference on the basis of its phase difference signal. When the phase difference signal changes to the delay phase from the advance phase or to the advance phase from the delay phase, the frequency of the high frequency is changed with every one interval in the direction for becoming small in the phase difference by using a smaller interval value.
