PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom in the seat arrangement for a vehicle seat by a comparatively simple constitution, and at the same time, to support the vehicle seat to a vehicle floor by a sufficient supporting strength at the time of the seat application. SOLUTION: A lower rail 20 in the longitudinal direction is extended on both of the right and left sides of the vehicle floor, and a seat 10 is movably arranged on respective lower rails 20 for this moving device for the vehicle seat. A connecting structure between the seat 10 and the lower rails 20 is constituted of a slide-locking mechanism comprising the engagement between the lower rails 20 provided on the vehicle floor and an upper rail 14 which is fixed and installed on the seat 10 side, and is formed with a longitudinal specified width. A space between respective lower rails 20 includes a vehicle width direction sliding mechanism 30 to make the seat 10 movable between the lower rails 20. In this case, the vehicle width direction sliding mechanism 30 has a vehicle width rail 31 which is individually and independently arranged from the lower rails 20, and a sliding member 32 which is movably formed in the breadthwise vehicle direction on the vehicle width rail 31.
