PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable road narrowing method and equipment for the same for use in a direction of changing the course for driver's education which can be used compatibly for both the vehicles categorized in new heavy vehicle or heavy vehicle class 2 under new standards and vehicles categorized in heavy/medium-size vehicle under current standards. SOLUTION: The variable road narrowing equipment for changing the width of an entry part 100, the radius of a corner cutoff part 102, and depth of a direction changing part 101 of the direction changing course for driver's education is provided. The equipment comprises a plurality of road shoulder body moving devices 1 for moving forward and backward a plurality of road shoulder bodies 11, arrayed in a row along the road shoulder part on one side of the entry part; a corner member fixing device 2 which fixes a corner member 21, having radius smaller than that of the corner cut-off part and having a plurality of piles 22 by inserting the pile into a hole 106 provided at the front of the corner cut-off part; and a deep-end pole moving device 3 for make a plurality of poles 31 provided at a deep-end part move forward and backward.
