Reclosable package with closure means embedded in the rigid base member

A reclosable package comprises a rigid base member. A product is placed on the rigid base member and a cover film is placed over the product and sealed to the rigid base member all around the product. Removable reclosure means made of the same material as the rigid base member are embedded in the rigid base member and the cover film is secured to the removable reclosure means.
