<p>A call distribution method using BTS sector pooling in a mobile communication system is provided to enable a BTS to distribute and process requests of MSs to a surrounding BTS and obtain a traffic channel, thereby efficiently using resources of the mobile communication system and improving the efficiency of channel use, and reducing additional installation costs. A call distribution method using BTS sector pooling in a mobile communication system comprises the following steps of: transmitting a distribution request message from a BTS 1(26) to a BSC(22) when the number of MSs(Mobile Stations)(30,30-1), connected to a corresponding sector of the BTS 1(26) of the mobile communication system, reaches maximum capacity; grasping the state of sectors of all BTSs(Base Transceiver Stations)(26,26-1) connected to the BSC(Base Station Controller)(22) and MSs (30,30-1) connected to the BTS 1(26) from a database and grasping MSs(30,30-1,30-2) capable of a handoff when the dispersion request message is received from the BTS 1(26); enabling the BSC(22) to perform the handoff of the MSs(30,30-1,30-2) capable of the handoff connected to the BTS 1(26) to a surrounding BTS(26-1), and enabling the BTS 1(26) to obtain a traffic channel and process a call which is newly requested; and enabling the BSC(22) to control for a call not to be dropped by monitoring the call state of the MSs(30,30-1) processed by the handoff in the BTS 1(26) during the above handoff.</p> |
