SYSTEM FOR BLOCKING HARMFUL SITE USING A VLAN AND METHOD THEREOF

A system and a method for blocking harmful sites using virtual LAN(Local Area Network) are provided to offer a harmful site blocking service by separating subscriber traffic according to an IP(Internet Protocol) range assigned to a subscriber without any authentication procedure, as the IP range is assigned to each virtual LAN in an Ethernet environment such as VDSL(Very high-data rate Digital Subscriber Line). A DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server(21) assigns an Internet subscriber IP and a harmful site blocking service subscriber IP by using the virtual LAN. An L2(Level 2) switch(20) groups the Internet subscriber IP and the harmful site blocking service subscriber IP to the virtual LAN. The DHCP server assigns the different IP range to each virtual LAN. A load distribution switch(25) separates the IP range assigned to a harmful site blocking service subscriber and an Internet subscriber. A harmful site(23) blocking server performs a harmful site blocking function to a subscriber traffic group.
