<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of recognizing images on a document or even a recording sheet of an irregular or different shape, and feeding the recording sheet to an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a reading means 1 for reading the data of a scanned sheet, the image forming means for forming an image from the read image data and copying the image onto a recording sheet, and a feeding means 2 for feeing the recording sheet. The reading means 1 has a storage means. The reading means 1 scans a recording sheet, reads the outer shape of the recording sheet and stores it into the storage means as outer shape data. The feeding means 2 has a feed control means for controlling feed of a recording sheet. When the image forming means copies an image to a recording sheet, the feed control means exerts feed control so as to recognize its shape from the outer shape data in the storage means and feed the recording sheet to the image forming means with recording sheet feed timing based on the shape recognition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
