<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device for a saddle riding type vehicle convenient for maintenance and having high security for preventing a vehicle from being stolen. <P>SOLUTION: An identifying means 22 is provided to receive a signal transmitted from a portable machine 10 for identification.
