PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod body structure that can suppress the occurrence of voids, after a prepreg is wound around a mandrel without wrinkling and bending and baked. SOLUTION: The inner side layer and the outer side layer are constructed each by winding spirally a narrow-slit tape 1 prepared by cutting a prepreg reinforced with fiber c arranged in the circumferential direction all over the whole rod length. In addition, a rod mouth-winding reinforcing pattern 5 is arranged at the distal end portion of the rod on the inside of the inside layer and a rod bottom-reinforcing pattern 6 is arranged at the bottom end portion of the rod on the outside of the outside layer. These reinforcing patterns 5, 6 are constructed by overlapping a prepreg having the reinforcing fiber c groups arranged in parallel at a prescribed inclination angleθto the rod axis line X and another prepreg having the reinforcing fiber c groups arranged in parallel so that the fiber group may become symmetry to the rod axis line X.
