PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve purification efficiency of suspended solids in a cyclone type air purifier. SOLUTION: The air purifier installs a mist spraying part for gas-liquid contact in an introduction part 2 to be an immediately before part for introducing air to a cyclone, or in the upper part of the cyclone. The purifier is constituted such that the mist spraying part for gas-liquid contact is supplied with, e.g. water from piping, and the mist spraying part sprays a mist. The mist sprayed from the mist spraying part sufficiently contacts the suspended solids in the air with fine droplets. The outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder of the cyclone is secured with a spiral fin, thereby eliminating the short-cut stream. The suspended solids and fine droplets integrated at the upper part of the cyclone are sufficiently rotated by the spiral downward stream and receive the centrifugal force, thereby depositing to the inner wall surface of the cyclone.
