PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing coke capable of reducing a productivity slowdown and a cost increase, and of improving strength of coke by limiting a particle size distribution of coal as a material for coke within an appropriate range, and facilities for producing the coke. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing coke comprises: a drying step of drying at least part of coal as a material for coke; a classifying step of classifying the coal dried in the drying step into coal having a large particle size and that having a small particle size; a first crushing step of crushing the coal having a large particle size; a blending step of blending the crushed coal in the first crushing step and the coal having a small particle size; a second crushing step of crushing the blended coal; and a charging step of charging the coke into a coke oven together with the remaining part of the coal as a material for coke.
