PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of a double insulating glass when producing by shortening the time required for heating/adhesion of a butyl rubber-based sealing material for sealing spacers between plate glasses. SOLUTION: The method for sealing of the double insulating glass comprises: forming a heating area by arranging multiple near-infrared heaters 13 for irradiating with near-infrared rays having the wavelengths within the range from 0.8 to 2μm at one side of one of the plate glasses 1 facing each other and also arranging a reflector plate 16 at the other side of the other glass; passing through the heating area, the glasses 1 which are paired by applying the butyl rubber-based sealing material 4 and sandwiching the spacers 2 therebetween; heating and softening the sealing material 4 by near-infrared ray irradiation; and immediately after that, pressure-bonding the glasses 1 facing each other by roll pressing. Since high adhesivity is obtained by heating the sealing material 4 for only one or two sec, the sealing of the double insulating glass A with high moisture permeation resistance can be achieved through pressure-bonding by roll pressing.
