PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of efficiently performing the assembling work of a mold clamping device. SOLUTION: A through-hole 36 of a tie bar 22 is formed to a mold clamping piston 30 and the ring nut 38 threaded with and connected to the outer periphery of the end part of the tie bar 22 is provided while a diametrically expanded fitting and mounting part 42 for locking the ring nut 38 by stepped surfaces (50 and 52) is formed to one end part of the through-hole 36 provided to the piston 30 and the mold clamping force by virtue of the hydraulic pressure received by the piston 30 within a mold clamping cylinder 32 is transmitted to the tie bar 22 through the ring nut 38.
