PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor for liquid development having high resistance to a carrier solvent used in a liquid development method and also having practically high sensitivity, and to provide an image forming apparatus and method thereof. SOLUTION: The single-layer electrophotographic photoreceptor for liquid development has a photosensitive layer containing a charge generating material, a charge transport material and an acceptor-like compound, wherein the charge transport material contains a high molecular charge transport material represented by formula (1) wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>3</SP>are each halogen or alkyl; R<SP>4</SP>is H or alkyl; R<SP>5</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>are each aryl; o, p and q are each an integer of 0-4; X is a divalent group; composition ratio between units is represented by 0.1≤k≤1 and 0≤j≤0.9; and n is the number of repeating units and an integer of 5-5,000.
