PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with less limitation of surrounding environment on deciding the FOE (Focus Of Expansion). SOLUTION: The device is presented to determine a position of FOE in an imagery plane by detecting a position the target installed in a predetermined position to a vehicle 110 in an imagery plane automatically from imagery imaged with a vehicle-borne camera 130 and based on the position of detected target in the imagery plane. The device is equipped with an infrared projector 120 emitting a light with a peak wavelength bandwidth in a predetermined infrared region to a vehicle 110 as a target and, additionally, prepared a visible cut-off filter 140 eliminating light of wavelengths other than the peak wavelength bandwidth of the infrared projector 120 from the incident light to the vehicle-borne camera 130, between the vehicle-borne camera 130 and the infrared projector 120 thereof.
