PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively obtain stable valve opening characteristics by accurately sensing a refrigerant temperature in a thermal expansion valve. SOLUTION: A disk 24 in the thermal expansion valve 1 is formed in hexagonal cross-sectional shape to enlarge a contact face with a refrigerant. Heat transfer performance to a temperature sensing part of the refrigerant temperature at an evaporator outlet is thereby improved, and the refrigerant temperature is accurately sensed in the temperature sensing part to obtain stable valve opening characteristics. As a result, there is no need to assemble accessory parts for shutting off the influence of an external atmosphere to be inexpensively achievable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
