PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manhour for management or work following replacement of coolant, to reduce running costs when using a solution other than service water in the coolant, and to avoid deterioration of cooling performance and malfunctions causing unnecessary power consumption due to deterioration of heat exchange efficiency. SOLUTION: The cooling device 1 is provided with a coolant tank 2 storing the coolant L returned from an object X to be cooled, a liquid feed pump 3 sending out the coolant L flowing out from a supply port 2o of the coolant tank 2, and a cooler 4 cooling the coolant L delivered from the liquid feed pump 3 by heat exchange and supplying it to the object X to be cooled. The object X to be cooled is cooled by circulating the coolant L through the object X to be cooled.
