PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain creep from setting in on the surface to fit a fixed ring in the other member of a rolling bearing. SOLUTION: In the rolling bearing (deep groove ball bearing 1), a clearance groove 9 is formed on the fitting surface where the fixed ring (outer ring 2) is fit in the other member (housing 7). The clearance groove 9 inhibits creep from occurring in a width Wb that is not more than a width Wa of the raceway surface 2a of the fixed ring 2. It is preferable that the thickness To of the fixed ring 2 is thicker than that of a rotating ring (inner ring 3). The depth D of the clearance groove 9 is set preferably in response to the amount of elastic deformation in the part of formation of the clearance groove 9 of the fixed ring 2.
