PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projected corner portion construction structure enabling the easy construction of a building and having excellent aesthetic appearance and draining capacity and a projected corner column used for the structure. SOLUTION: This projected corner portion structure 1 is formed by disposing the projected corner columns 10 at the projected corner portions 100 of the building. The structure comprises a building structural skeleton 2, corner members 4 having pairs of socket parts 40, and a pair of right and left external wall plates 3 fixed to the front surface of the structural skeleton 2 with external wall fixing fittings 300 in such a state that their side end parts 30 are fitted to the pairs of socket parts 40 of the corner members 4. The structure further comprises projected corner columns 10 disposed to cover the side end parts 30 of the pair of external wall plates 3 and the projected corner parts of the structural skeleton 2 from the front side and fixed to the structural skeleton 2 with the projected corner portion fixing fittings 7 and rain gutters 5 vertically continuously formed between the projected corner columns 10 and the structural skeleton 2. The projected corner column 10 comprises a pair of right and left front face plate plate parts 13 and a pair of side face plate parts 14.
