PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which does not have waste in light receiving area and possesses high efficiency of resolution for receiving light quantity, while suppressing generation of shading, and to provide an imaging apparatus that uses the imaging device. SOLUTION: An imaging device 10 is provided with two or more pixel regions, where two or more light-receiving device 16 are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix form for receiving photographic subject light which is converted into an photoelectronic signal.
