A method and a system for vicariously performing a quest in an online game are provided to enable a user requesting vicarious quest performance to offer proper rewards to the user vicariously performing the quest by allowing other users to vicariously perform the quest of the user. A game server(108) relays game data transmitted from multiple user clients(100-104) and controls game progress. An account server(106) manages user state information includes game money and possessed item information of the users. A quest server(110) manages question information provided to the users, and receives and stores quest agent acceptance information from a master or slave user in case that at least one slave user accepts a quest agent request of the master user. In the case that the slave user vicariously completes the quest of the master user, the quest server provides the rewards to the master and slave user. |
