An image sensor for a semiconductor light sensitive device and an image processing apparatus using the same are provided to reduce the influence due to a pixel failure or noises by arranging alternately open windows and color filters. An image sensor comprises a lens array, a color filter array, a protection layer, and a pixel sensor array. The lens array(100) includes a plurality of micro-lenses arranged like a planar lattice type structure. The color filter array(200) includes open windows(O) and color filter cells(C). The open windows and the color filter cells are alternately arranged under the lens array. The protection layer(300) made of a dielectric material is formed under the color filter array. The pixel sensor array(400) is formed under the protection layer. The pixel sensor array includes a first to fourth photo sensors.
