The device has a first coupling part connected to a first device and interacting with a second part for torque transfer. An adapter shaft can be connected to the second coupling part. The adapter housing has interfaces to the first and second devices for reversible centered connection to their housings. Centrifugal jaws held together by springs can force a brake lining against a friction surface, especially when a critical value is exceeded. The device has a first coupling part connected to a first device in a shape- and/or force-coupling manner and interacting with a second part for torque transfer. An adapter shaft can be connected to the second coupling part of the adapter in a shape- and/or force-coupling manner. The adapter housing has first and second interfaces to the first and second devices for reversible centered connection to the housings of the first and second devices. Centrifugal jaws held together on the second coupling part by springs can force a brake lining against a friction surface on the adapter housing, especially when a critical value of revolution rate and/or centrifugal force is exceeded.
