A pretreatment apparatus of an organic electroluminescent display and a low gray scale representing method thereof are provided to improve the low gray scale representing ability without changing the panel structure or processing condition. An organic electroluminescent display includes a halftoning unit(28) for halftoning at least low-gray scale image signal among input image signals, and a data input unit(32) converting the image signal into a data pulse to be input to a data line of an organic electroluminescent element to apply the same to the data line of the organic electroluminescent element. A gamma correction unit(24) gamma-corrects the image signal prior to the halftoning.
