A power management device of a portable electronic device and a method thereof are provided to prevent a phenomenon that a level of a battery is instantaneously reduced and increased. A method for a power management device of a portable electronic device includes the steps of: preventing a power-off caused by an instantaneous battery consumption by applying a battery compensation value according to an On/Off state of an LDO(Low Drop Output) placed in a PMIC(Power Management Integrated Circuit)(20) of the portable electronic device equipped with a battery(10).
