APPARATUS AND METHOD OF LAYERED DATA CONTENT BASED DATA BROADCAST SERVICES THROUGH RETURN CHANNEL

A data broadcast service system utilizing layered contents and return channels and a broadcast service providing method are provided to plan and produce the layered contents and dispersively transmit the layered contents to a terminal through a broadcasting network and the return channel according to the characteristics of the layered contents, thereby reducing a service loading time of the terminal, minimizing contents reception delay time of the terminal, increasing applicability of a data broadcasting bandwidth and being used as a platform for providing various customized data broadcast service contents. A data broadcast service apparatus utilizing layered contents and return channels comprises the followings: a contents producing unit(21) which layers contents into route layer contents(10) and leaf layer contents(101) according to a contents scenario and produces the layered contents before transmitting the leaf layer contents(101) to a return channel network so that the produced leaf layer contents(101) can be transmitted through the return channel; and a data broadcast unit(22) for transmitting data broadcast contents(25), which includes the route layer contents(10) produced by the contents producing unit(21), through a broadcasting network according to a data transmission process of the broadcast network.
