<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image decoding apparatus to suppress a propagation in a time direction of an image quality deterioration in association with a bit error. <P>SOLUTION: When a size of a motion vector is larger than a prescribed threshold value, a frame indicated by a predictive reference frame index is decided as a predictive reference frame used for a motion compensation prediction. When the size of the motion vector is smaller than the prescribed threshold value, a predictive reference frame determination portion 12 is provided as used for the motion compensation prediction according to a repair state of an image area shown by the motion vector, and the moving image is reproduced by using the predictive reference frame decided by the predictive reference frame determination portion 12 and an encoding data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
