PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing member capable of storing articles to be packed with different lengths in the axial direction, and suppressing any play in an outer box without using a shock-absorbing material. SOLUTION: A cut 21 is formed orthogonal to the axial direction over two adjacent side faces of a body 10, and a plurality of cuts 21 are formed in the axial direction at predetermined spaces. Recesses 3a, 3b are formed outward of both ends of the article by the cuts located outward of both ends of the article stored in an internal space of the body part 10 so that the article is not shifted in the axial direction in the body 10.
