PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery coating material for reflecting visible light, having higher and stable reflectance in the whole range of 430-700 nm wave length of the visible light, and to provide a reflector plate for a lightening apparatus formed by the coating material. SOLUTION: The powdery coating material for reflecting the visible light is constituted by compounding a polyester resin having 20-80 acid value, a solid epoxy compound having 99-2,000 epoxy equivalent, titanium oxide having a spherical crystal structure, and a coated layer containing inert inorganic oxide such as alumina and silica, and also having 0.2-0.3μm average particle diameter and≥2.7 refractive index, 0.02-1 wt.% phosphorus-based curing catalyst and 0.02-1 wt.% phosphorus-based antioxidant. The reflector plate for the lightening apparatus is obtained by coating the coating material containing 38-54 wt.% of the titanium oxide on a metal plate so as to have about 60μm thickness, and baking the coated product at 170°C.
