PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid material of an organic material and an inorganic material, capable of emitting white light, having electroluminescent (EL) characteristics excellent in weather resistance and stability to chemical deterioration. SOLUTION: AΠ(pi) conjugated polyallylene vinylene capable of emitting red light, aΠ(pi) conjugated polyallylene vinylene capable of emitting green light and aΠ(pi) conjugated polyallylene vinylene capable of emitting blue light are prepared, these preparedΠ(pi) conjugated polyallylene vinylenes and alkoxysilane are prepared by a sol-gel process and the hybrid material is obtained by mixing theΠ(pi) conjugated polyallylene vinylenes with a silane-based glass.
