PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of damage in a second delivery chute such as a guide rib, while restraining an increase in manufacturing cost of a laser printer. SOLUTION: A second guide rib 42 of the second guide chute 40 is made of a material having hardness higher than a first guide rib 41. A second contact part 42 is dislocated to the curve stopping side more than a first contact part 41a so that a recording medium carried from a first delivery chute collides with the tip (a second contact part 42a) of the second guide rib 42 before the tip (the first contact part 41a) of the first guide rib 41. Thus, since collision force acting on the first contact part 41a becomes sufficiently smaller than collision force acting on the second contact part 42a, there is no need to form the whole upper cover 9 of a highly hard material. Thus, the occurrence of damage in the second delivery chute 40 can be prevented while restraining an increasing in the manufacturing cost of the laser printer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
