PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of activating a camera-shake correction mechanism only when image blur correction is required while suppressing the power consumption. SOLUTION: A camera is provided with gyro sensors 20A, 20B with a sleep mode function, and high pass filters 22A, 22B. In the case of wide angle photographing during display of a moving picture, the gyro sensors 20A, 20B are set to a sleep mode ON state.
