PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loading method of sheet films for an image forming apparatus capable of beforehand preventing the risk of movement of an apparatus main body and falling of the apparatus main body from a desk when a light-shielding bag is pulled out even when a film package is loaded without cutting one end of the light shielding bag. SOLUTION: The loading method of the sheet films is provided for the image forming apparatus which has a tray part 45 capable of loading the film package P, wherein a plurality of sheet films F are accommodated light-tightly in the light shielding bag B and of moving between two positions of a film loading position and an image recording position to the apparatus main body, is constituted to pull out the light shielding bag to the outside of the apparatus main body while maintaining the plurality of film sheets in a light-shielded state after loading the film package, and can be used on a desktop. When the tray part is moved to the image recording position after loading the film package, the film package is loaded so that the length n of the light-shielding bag protruding from the apparatus main body to the outside becomes≤70 mm.
