An apparatus and a method for drying food are provided to cut and crush food wastes, select foreign substances and remove the moisture included in the food. The first processing member(100) cuts and crashes the food wastes and transfers the processed food into the second processing member(200). The second processing member dries the moisture of transferred food waste and then discharges the dried food waste. A storage tank(110) is formed at an upper portion of the first processing member. An opening member(111) is formed at an upper portion of the storage tank. A receiving member(112) is formed at the inside of the storage tank and communicated with the opening member. A container(113) is equipped within the storage tank so that the food is received. A hinge is equipped with the lower end of the container and rotated about the opening member. |
