A wheel-type colored meter for manual remote meter reading is provided to calculate measurement value of the meter by recognizing various colors of a meter board. Different color corresponding to figures of 0 to 9 are displayed on wheels(12) in numerical order, and the wheels are assembled to form a wheel unit(10). A light irradiating unit(20) irradiates light onto the wheels. A color sensor unit(30) consisting of several color sensors is installed adjacently to the wheels to detect the light reflected from the wheels. A controller receives a detected signal from the color sensor unit to recognize the color of the corresponding wheel and then calculate a measured value from the figure corresponding to the color. A communication unit(50) transmits the measured value to a remote meter reading center. |
