DISC DRIVE DEVICE

A low cost and simple constitution disc drive device wherein degrees of freedom in design is greatly improved, while permitting electric signals to be surely transmitted and received between a disc and an external device and greatly improving extensibility of a disc application field. A first conductive section (2) of a thin film is formed on one plane side of the disc (1), an electronic circuit section (4) is arranged on the other plane side, and the first conductive section (2) and a connecting section (3) connected to the electronic circuit section (4) are connected through a vertically connecting section (6) having a conductive function formed in the thickness direction. A turntable (100) is provided with a second conductive section (105), which is a corresponding section to the first conductive section (2) on an abutting plane to the disc (1) and is brought into electrical contact with the first conductive section (2) when the disc is driven to rotate. Signals are transmitted and received between the electronic circuit section (4) and a disc drive device on the turntable side through the first and the second conductive sections (2, 105) when the disc (1) is placed on the turntable (100), clamped and driven to rotate.
