The device has a camera (11) for detecting head movement of passengers, an illumination (10) and a sensor for detecting a position of a vehicle. The device is configured in such a manner that the device adjusts a video refresh rate of the camera and a light output of the illumination based on signals of the sensor. The sensor is designed as kinematic sensor and/or environmental sensor and/or contact sensor.
