<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly converge an engine speed on a target idle speed, even if the engine speed is fluctuated caused by generation of load or the like in idle operation, in an idle control device for an engine. <P>SOLUTION: An electric motor 4, which gives torque to the engine 2 and absorbs torque generated in the engine 2 is connected with an output shaft of the engine 2. The idle control device comprises an electric motor control means 20 for controlling the electric motor 4 to absorb the torque generated in the engine 2 when an actual engine speed is larger than a target engine speed, and controlling the electric motor 4 to give the torque to the engine 2 when the actual engine speed is smaller than the target engine torque. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
