VEHICLE EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT USING CATALYTIC COATED ELECTRIC HEATER

An exhaust gas purification system of a vehicle with an electric heater coated by a catalyst is provided to reduce exhaust gas, and to oxidize smoke by directly coating the catalyst on the electric heater and activating the catalyst with the minimum energy. An exhaust gas purification system of a vehicle includes an electric heater(31) and a metal carrier(32). A surface of the electric heater is coated by a catalyst to quickly activate the catalyst with electric heating and to decrease heating temperature of the electric heater. The electric heater is mechanically connected to the metal carrier by an assembling unit, and electrically separated from the metal carrier. The electric heater is formed by stacking thin corrugated strips and bending a strip assembly, and placed in the front of a tubular body(30). The metal carrier is placed in a rear end of the tubular body, and the catalyst is activated in operating the electric heater.
